Commercial Photography
On-location head shots are preferred in my book. Like these taken of Christopher Nieper at a well known Alfreton, Derbyshire business, David Nieper. Which designs and produces women's clothing. I was hired as a head shot photographer by Insider Media to capture photos of Mr. Nieper where the garments are sewn. Showing the environment just outside of his office but with him as the focal point for an article that was later published about the garment industry here in Great Britain. To give the editors a bit of choice, we made sure to take a small variety of images at one of the many sewing machines. Along with Christopher holding some of the dresses, not shown below. You can find those in the editorial. Personally, my favourite must be the last one of the gallery. What are your thoughts? Click on each one to see the whole image. Part of being a commercial photographer involves capturing photos for use on company websites. Which is why Ashmere Care Homes contacted me. They were completely revamping their website and needed not just images of the care homes themselves, but also photos of the Ashmere team such as, headshots of home management. Along with some of the residents taking part in the activities and even shots of the food offered on their menus. After working with Ashmere to photograph their property and staff in Codnor, Ripley, West Hallam, Ilkeston and Matlock; I was offered another opportunity to photograph their awards ceremony. Keep your eyes peeled for that blog in the future. For now, have a look at a small selection of images below. How do you promote closing a large business deal? You take pictures to prove it! Picture or it didn't happen right?! Okay well, maybe that's not true. But it certainly does help. ALD Automotive contacted me to capture some images of a business deal involving them, Perry's Ford, and Cape.
One of the first questions I was asked by ALD Automotive was, how can we show that this fleet closing involves 117 vehicles and the people who worked together to make it happen? The end result, a cherry picker of course! I absolutely loved it. Since these images would be used in automotive magazines and online editorials, it was important to capture as many different shots as possible for the media to choose from. If you'd like to learn more about business deal itself, you can read about it here on FleetNews. There were a few spots where the vehicles were parked on wood planks. Professional Retoucher, Francesca Hughes did a great job removing those planks for me. Last but not least, at the end of the photoshoot I also captured some headshots for the Linkedin profiles of the ALD Automotive team involved. Thanks to everyone from the team at ALD Automotive, Cape LLC and to Perry's Ford in Chesterfield. It was a pleasure working with all of you. Advertising a company and putting a face or faces to a brand is essential in today's business world. So I was honoured when Rebecca of BHCC reached out to me about photographing herself and the other company directors to update the company website. We spoke about what kind of impression their website should give and what the photographs should convey. Which led us to meet in Chesterfield where BHCC was holding a team meeting. The outcome was a mix of environmental portraits or head shots. Along with photographs of Ann, Mark, Rebecca and one of their consultants at work. We even fit in a few team photos. Quite a few can be seen on their website and social media. You can also see a small selection below. To have your team photographed please reach out to me at 07710 271457. Or by email found on the contact page. |
