In this example of property photography, you can see images I've captured for a luxury care home based in Heanor Derbyshire. It comprised of multiple floors, common spaces, and suites. As Ashmere continues to develop the property, I've been invited back over the years to photograph not just the property but marketing content that includes staff and guest. However, for the purpose of this post I will only be featuring images the interior and exterior of the care home. Please enjoy a sneak peek into this lovely home. From the sun filtering through the windows to a cozy retreat in one of the suites. Call Jessica at 07710 271457 to discuss your home photography needs.

Photographing products for Amazon sellers means creating images that adhere to Amazon's strict image requirements. Along with providing photos that support the main image. Usually by showing close-ups of details and the product in use. I've worked with eKeep many times and it's always a pleasure working with such lovely smelling floral confetti as they make changes and updates to their products. Here are just a few examples of their latest photo shoot. To book Jessica to photograph your product catalog, call 07710 271457.
Brill Burger contacted me to photograph their menu for the digital ordering board, social media and online ordering apps like Deliveroo and UberEats. We discussed what kind of images they felt would work best for their brand and landed on the dark and wood grain look you see below. Which makes those burgers really pop on the screen. We needed simple yet attention grabbing food photography that focused more on the burgers, sides and shakes than on ambiance of their location. After viewing the tasty burgers below, you can find Brill Burger in both Sheffield and The Batch House in Chesterfield. To book food photographer Jessica Perkins, call 07710 271457.
Photographing cocktail drinks, entrees, and desserts for restaurants in the UK must be one of my favourite areas of my career. I've travelled all over the midlands to capture chef's delicious creations and bar staff's tasty concoctions. Some examples of my work below feature dishes and drinks from Nottingham and Sheffield in particular. I love to show the ambience when possible. Yet keep it simple when instructed to for entree or dessert menu photos. To discuss the vision for your restaurants photos, I can be reached at 07710 271457 or by email at jpprofessionalphotography@gmail.com.
Property Photography for luxury apartments that were styled for the photoshoot and viewings located in Beeston just outside of Nottingham.
![]() On-location head shots are preferred in my book. Like these taken of Christopher Nieper at a well known Alfreton, Derbyshire business, David Nieper. Which designs and produces women's clothing. I was hired as a head shot photographer by Insider Media to capture photos of Mr. Nieper where the garments are sewn. Showing the environment just outside of his office but with him as the focal point for an article that was later published about the garment industry here in Great Britain. To give the editors a bit of choice, we made sure to take a small variety of images at one of the many sewing machines. Along with Christopher holding some of the dresses, not shown below. You can find those in the editorial. Personally, my favourite must be the last one of the gallery. What are your thoughts? Click on each one to see the whole image. To hire me as your photographer for company or editorial head shots, call 07710 271457. Product photographers need a whole gamut of skills. Especially when it comes to reflective surface likes jewellery. My work with Etsy listings for DAM Jewellery happens to be one of those cases where being a well versed product photographer comes in handy. I photograph vintage jewellery for this Chesterfield, Derbyshire based seller on a regular basis. So we've come to a consistent style of nice airy whites and soft colours to show off these pieces. From simple flat lays for photographing brooches and earrings. To the use of small busts and props for necklaces and rings. Working with DAM Jewellery has always been a pleasure and I look forward to being their go-to product photographer here in Derbyshire. To hire me for your e-commerce product listings, call me on 07710 271457. In the meantime, take a peek at the product gallery below.
![]() Derby, Nottingham, Sheffield, Leicester and Birmingham are just some of the locations I travel to when working with restaurants as a food photographer. So it's tough when people ask me what area I cover. When it comes to food photography, I prefer to work on location. I can't stand being in the same four walls day in and day out. Photographing food for restaurants gives me the variety I crave. From pubs, cafes, eclectic eateries, to dessert parlours and vegan take aways, every restaurant can benefit from professional food photography. Show off your best dishes and the ones that set you apart from your competition. Call 07710 271457 to discuss how hiring me as your food photographer will up your game. ![]() Being a freelance photographer my role often involves photographing events that companies would like images of for social media, website and other marketing purposes. The National Lottery Community Fund works with so many charities and organisations across the UK, and to show customers who play the lottery where the funds go, they require photos like the ones I've taken below. It's important to shoot in a documentary style and show the natural interactions between the people involved. The first even below was at the YMCA My Space in Rotherham. Which provides activities and services for the area's youth. Another was with Volunteer It Yourself at the Guisborough Rugby Club. VIY works with young people who volunteer for DIY projects in their community to learn valuable skills they can use for future employment. Working as a freelance commercial photographer for TNLC has been a great experience and I can't wait to work with them again soon. ![]() Professional photography will set an estate agency apart from the competition. It also portrays a more accurate representation of the home for sale. Bringing out the best aspects of each room. Not to mention showing off the exterior photos of the house or property and adding a blue sky if needed. Let's face it, English weather is unpredictable and even sunny days can end up grey during the scheduled photoshoot appointment. Working with RF&O Sales, I've had the pleasure of photographing some of their listings in the Swanwick and surround areas such as Ripley and Matlock. Below I'll be posting a small selection of photos I've worked with RF&O on. Go take a peek. ![]() Unit Sheffield is a North American style restaurant with giant burgers and chocolate covered desserts. Or puddings as we'd say here in England. They even sell Mexican sodas as you'll see in the photographs below. The goal of the food photography shoot, was to photograph each item in a variety of ways for use on social media. Such as instagram. A restaurant may want to feature a speciality burger for instance, many times. But doesn't want to bore potential clients with the same photograph. Therefore, having a handful of images of that speciality burger is essential. Speaking of burgers, check out the images below. ![]() Part of being a commercial photographer involves capturing photos for use on company websites. Which is why Ashmere Care Homes contacted me. They were completely revamping their website and needed not just images of the care homes themselves, but also photos of the Ashmere team such as, headshots of home management. Along with some of the residents taking part in the activities and even shots of the food offered on their menus. After working with Ashmere to photograph their property and staff in Codnor, Ripley, West Hallam, Ilkeston and Matlock; I was offered another opportunity to photograph their awards ceremony. Keep your eyes peeled for that blog in the future. For now, have a look at a small selection of images below. ![]() Meal plans are all the rage right now and the best businesses will stand out when potential customers visit their website. The meals themselves need to be tasty and in this case, healthy. But the photographs are the first impression. Which is why Scott and Dave decided to hire a professional food photographer to show off their healthy meal plans. Located just out of Chesterfield in Derbyshire, My Fit Foods prep delicious meals and delivers them to their customers homes or work place. After an over the phone consultation we had a clear vision for food photographs that would best highlight their brand. My role at the food photographer was to show how the meals would be packaged, each dish plated, and some of the My Fit Foods team. We also needed to work on images that would show the brand overall. Especially for items such as the homepage of the website. To see some of the final outcome you can visit their website or view some of my favourite shots below. To discuss food photography for your business contact Jessica at 07710 271457.
Or send your enquiry via email here. ![]() Nottingham area based caterers Posh Nosh East Midlands contacted me thanks to a referral from another client. Interested in some images to compliment their upcoming website design. This time going for a darker colour palette. But still want the colours of their delicious food to speak for itself. I was more than happier to accommodate. Especially when I tasted some of their apple and honey sausage rolls. They are truly scrumptious. Since corporate catering services are a large part of their offerings, Rhona and Rob created a list of tasty canapes, salads, sandwiches, and cakes along with many other items for me to photograph. We focused on individual food items along with collections of offerings. Such as afternoon tea, meat boards and cheese boards. But enough from me, go see some of the images below. I highly recommend Posh Nosh East Midlands catering services. Give them a ring for your next corporate event. Being a food photographer has many rolls. One is to provide images for advertising such as company websites, brochures and social media. All of which Price & Fretwell in Tibshelf Derbyshire hired me for. They provide aged meats that are sourced locally to high end restaurants and catering companies.
After discussing their goals we agreed on a dark moody set of images that really highlights their products. Ranging from beef, pork, and chicken among other foods. Another goal of theirs was to capture the ageing fridge where beef for example, is hung. Including some shots that show the natural colours of the meats and the colour of the actual lighting that is produced by Price & Fretwell's state of the art ageing process. As seen in the last image. I often see these images shared on their facebook and instagram page. So it was great to receive some feedback from Nathan Price such as, "The photos look fantastic, we have had some very positive feedback and also we have had some orders from the marketing that has included them. Darren in particular has been very pleased with them." In the heart of St. Peter's Square in Derby sits Al Arabi Shawarma & Grill. Not to mention the Shisha and Dessert Bar attached to it. I was fortunate enough to be hired to photograph their menu items along with interior shots of the restaurant and shisha bar. We even managed to fit in some photographs of the staff along with one of the owners of the Derby business.
Food photography is by far one of my favourite types of my career. So I was delighted not only capture their dishes and team at work, but also to taste some of it. Absolutely delicious! Oh and check out all the amazing decor at the Shisha Bar. It's a gem in the heart of the city. Al Arabi has used their food photos and images of the restaurant on their social media pages such as facebook and instagram and they've been a bit hit. Here's a selection of my favourites. Cafe2U holds a contest every year for it's customers and the lucky winner gets £1000 worth of holiday vouchers. Whoa! Who doesn't want a free vacation right?! Okay back to business. I was contact by Cafe2U to photograph this year's winner receiving her vouchers. Which she won from one of their on-location coffee vendors in the Chesterfield Derbyshire area. Pictured in the images below along with some of the management from the Franchise here in the UK. Plus I got a tasty coffee at the photoshoot and if you know me, you know I love coffee. So it was a win, win for me!
How do you promote closing a large business deal? You take pictures to prove it! Picture or it didn't happen right?! Okay well, maybe that's not true. But it certainly does help. ALD Automotive contacted me to capture some images of a business deal involving them, Perry's Ford, and Cape.
One of the first questions I was asked by ALD Automotive was, how can we show that this fleet closing involves 117 vehicles and the people who worked together to make it happen? The end result, a cherry picker of course! I absolutely loved it. Since these images would be used in automotive magazines and online editorials, it was important to capture as many different shots as possible for the media to choose from. If you'd like to learn more about business deal itself, you can read about it here on FleetNews. There were a few spots where the vehicles were parked on wood planks. Professional Retoucher, Francesca Hughes did a great job removing those planks for me. Last but not least, at the end of the photoshoot I also captured some headshots for the Linkedin profiles of the ALD Automotive team involved. Thanks to everyone from the team at ALD Automotive, Cape LLC and to Perry's Ford in Chesterfield. It was a pleasure working with all of you. ![]() I love Nottingham and I couldn't pass up the chance to photograph an event for UberEats when given the opportunity. As I'm sure you're aware, Uber is growing across the UK. To celebrate their expansion with the UberEats team, they hired me to take photos of their cocktail party at the Pitcher and Piano right in the heart of Nottingham's Lace Market. The client requested shots of company staff as they arrived at the event along with reportage and candid images. Usually, I work for this particular client as a food photographer in Nottingham, Sheffield and Derby. So this was quite a different experience working for this team. It was great to meet the smiling faces that work with the restaurants I visit to photograph yummy dishes for. And wow, check out how nice the stained glass windows of the Pitcher and Piano make as a backdrop. As a professional photographer I often get calls to photography community events. The local offices of Global company Doosan Babcock contacted me to photograph their Day of Community Service. Engineers and administrative employees from the South Normanton area came together to paint at Green Gable Care home in Alfreton.
Images like these are often used for websites, newsletters, business social media accounts for a variety of reasons. It's important to show what sets companies apart and how your employees make a difference in the communities they work in. Or at least the communities your based in. A few of these guys travel all over the world for Doosan Babcock. It was great getting to know them as they prepped and painted. Thank you to everyone at Doosan Babcock for hiring me as your local event photographer and making a difference in the Alfreton area. ![]() Advertising a company and putting a face or faces to a brand is essential in today's business world. So I was honoured when Rebecca of BHCC reached out to me about photographing herself and the other company directors to update the company website. We spoke about what kind of impression their website should give and what the photographs should convey. Which led us to meet in Chesterfield where BHCC was holding a team meeting. The outcome was a mix of environmental portraits or head shots. Along with photographs of Ann, Mark, Rebecca and one of their consultants at work. We even fit in a few team photos. Quite a few can be seen on their website and social media. You can also see a small selection below. To have your team photographed please reach out to me at 07710 271457. Or by email found on the contact page. |
