Fancy a wedding in the Peak District but still close to the Chesterfield area, then the Peak Edge Hotel is perfect. Vicky and Adrian thought so too. Gorgeous views. Especially if you want wedding photos with the sun setting in the background.
Vicky got ready with all of her bridesmaids in the family home that her grandfather built before heading to the Peak Edge Hotel for the wedding ceremony. Adrian and his brother, the best man, waited patiently and everything went off without a hitch.
The hotel was decorated with a vintage colour scheme and the even reception featured a photo booth that looked like loads of fun. Not to mention the sweet table that the bride put together with marshmallow trees and plenty of goodies for the guest. See it all in this wedding slideshow of their big day.
We captured both the bride and groom getting ready for this Shottle Hall Wedding. Most of the time, it's just me but Chyna and Michael had a special request for a second shooter for the getting ready part of the day so they could look back at photos of the groom getting ready too. While I was in Heage with the bride, Gemma went to Chesterfield to photograph the guys.
Then off to Shottle Hall we went. It was a beautifully sunny day with a harp playing in the background as the guest waited for the bride to walk down the aisle. In between the wedding breakfast and the reception, we took a walk around the gardens of Shottle Hall for some romantic photos of just the bride and groom before meeting up with the best man for some fun photos too.
The day was absolutely stunning so I've made a wedding slideshow of my favourite images you can view below.
Bride and groom, Nichola and Mark chose Horsley Lodge for their wedding day. Their son, the page boy is super cute and looked so handsome in his little suit. It was a lovely ceremony and a great day to wander down to Horsley Lodge's lake to take wedding photos.
One of the details of Nichola and Mark's wedding that stands out is the wedding cake made by a family friend. Wait till you see it in the wedding slideshow. Go take a peek!
Hotel Van Dyk is one of my favourite wedding venues. Being a wedding photographer brings me all over Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. So I was thrilled when Vicky and Nick told me where their wedding would be held. The bride took advantage of their bridal suite to get ready.
After the ceremony we had a little bit of rain but nothing we couldn't work photos around. After the sky cleared, we still had time for plenty of posed but fun photos with friends and family. Luckily the weather worked with us and we went for our schedule photo walk to grab photos of just the bride and groom.
I couldn't leave without first catching a few photos of Vicky and Nick with the fairy lights in the garden. What a beautiful ending to a beautiful day. Make sure to see some of my favourite images of the day by clicking "read more" below.
Bridal preparations started in South Normanton at The Boundary before we headed to Mansfield Registry office for the ceremony. Emma's uncle walked her down the aisle as Gareth waited patiently. After the confetti was thrown, the wedding cars ventured to the Hilcote Country Club.
The venue was decked out with Alice in Wonderland decor which is one of the bride and groom's favourite films. When the flower girl walked down the aisle dressed as Alice, it was pretty obvious the venue would be the perfect mad hatter's tea party. Or in this case, a sit down meal with delicious little cakes afterwards. Check them out in this wedding slideshow.
Stoke Rochford Hall was the perfect setting for Sara and Dave's January wedding. Not only did they say their own vows, but they included the groom's parents vow renewal too. Which came as a complete surprise to Dave's mum.
Speaking of family, the large fire place made a grand place for family wedding photos. Then we continued into the wedding breakfast in the library for the father of the bride's speech. But I'm skipping ahead. Let's start at the beginning of the day when Sara was getting ready in the bridal suite, all the way to the first dance and the casino at the wedding reception.
As the bride and groom's wedding photographer it was tough not to hit the roulette table, but it did have a blast capturing everyone else enjoying them. Go see for yourself in this video slide show of Sara and Dave's big day.
